WOOL BROADLOOM AXMINSTER
When only the best will do.
In 1755, five years before the start of the Industrial Revolution, the Axminster Weaving Loom was introduced, the first true advancement in floor weaving technology since the introduction of hand knotting, a many centuries old art.
Nowadays, the weaving looms are faster, wider, interpret seven languages, and require fewer operators. However, the actual method of mechanical warp and weft weave production hasn’t changed for over 250 years. All those years of mechanical and technological progress have not developed a better technique. Although many different types of looms exist today, some significantly faster, none equal the production quality of the original Axminster weave.
This is why a quality wool Axminster carpet remains, to this day, the world’s first choice for the discerning buyer.
When we design at Warp and Weft Lab, everything is done via the internet, and FedEx. You won’t see us, you don’t need to see us.
